Island Arrangements Meeting
The 4th Quarterly Meeting of 2006 agreed that an examination of the Concessionary Travel Arrangements within the Island Areas was essential in a bid to achieve parity in application and suggest solutions to the taxation burden that Members in the Island Areas experience as a result. A Meeting was arranged, within the Federation Offices, and attended by all the Island based Area Commanders, The Island Area Representatives, the JBB Secretary and JBB Assistant Secretary.
The lengthy discussions which followed highlighted the numerous complex issues which require to be addressed and increased an awareness of the different considerations for the different Island groups. At the conclusion of the Meeting the JBB Secretary undertook to prepare a paper for circulating to those present.
