JOINT BRANCH BOARD ELECTIONS
Due to transfer, promotion and retiral, the following vacancies now exist:

Nominations for these vacancies are now being sought and the date of the elections is Wednesday 5th December 2007. All voting will take place by means of secure electronic ballot on the web site of the Scottish Police Federation - Northern Branch.
The JBB Rules governing elections provide all nominations should have the approval of the candidate and must be signed by a Proposer and Seconder of the same rank from the same electoral area and reach the Presiding Officer not less than twenty-four days before the date set for the election, Monday 12th November 2007.
In the event of no Candidate being received from any electoral area not less than twenty-four days before the date set for the election, a candidate from out with that electoral area may be nominated. In such an event the nomination must be approved by the Candidate AND be proposed and seconded by a Member, of the same rank, within that electoral area. Such a nomination must reach the Presiding officer not less than seventeen days before the date set for the election, Monday 19th November 2007.
Any withdrawals of nominations require to be in writing and to be in the hands of the undersigned no later than Wednesday 21st November 2007.
