Uniform - Have Your Say
Members will notice the Chief Constable has intimated his intention to
conduct a plebiscite (vote) on the question of the issue of a black uniform
shirt in place of the traditional white shirt and tie during the month of
March.
This is your opportunity to influence the decision making within Northern
Constabulary and we would urge each and every one of you to participate.
Once the details are known they will be published here.
The JBB is heartened by the significant steps the Force has taken in respect
of uniform in the very recent past and you can be assured your
Representatives' continue to work tirelessly on your behalf on this very
important issue.
Please contact your Reps and provide them with your honest views on all
aspects of the current uniform, from comfort, warmth, ability to keep you
dry, fit or whatever. Whilst we would encourage frank opinions, please keep
expletive free as your responses (in which your anonymity will be
guaranteed) are important in ensuring we are provided with the best uniform
possible.
