Uniform Vote - The Results
Members will recall that on the 6th March we advised of the Chief Constable's intention to hold a vote on the continued provision of the white shirt and tie as the base uniform layer for Northern Constabulary.
We are pleased to advise the Chief Constable was good to his word and undertook such a vote over the following few weeks. The result of that vote has now been published and we note the majority voted in favour of a move away from the status quo. We congratulate the Chief Constable on his willingness and enthusiasm to respond to this result and look forward to the arrival of the new style black wicking shirts in the near future.
Special thanks are extended to Mrs Doreen Polson, whose patience and scrutiny resulted in early publication of the result.
