My name is David Miller; I joined the Northern Constabulary in 1978 as a police cadet, accepted as a constable in 1979, serving in Kingussie, Inverness, Nairn, Mallaig, Kirkwall, Dingwall and HQ Traffic. I returned to Kirkwall in 1998 as Sergeant and subsequently promoted to my present rank of Inspector in 2002.
I have previously severed as a Constable Representative for the Islands and now represent the Inspector rank for the same area. I have been elected Chairman of The present Joint Branch Board; in addition I am a member of the Joint Central Committee.
