GROUP LIFE ASSURANCE SCHEME      

 

Providing life insurance cover for Member and (optional) spouse.

 

Benefit:                        Member:                                   £100,000

                                    +

                                    (Optional) Spouse:                     £50,000

 

this includes a terminal illness advance facility for payment of up to 75% of the sum assured on confirmed diagnosis.

           

 

GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT & SICKNESS SCHEMES  

CAPITAL SUMS EARLY RETIREMENT   

 

Providing a lump sum on ill-health retirement from the police.

 

a)         Eyes, limbs, permanent total disablement from any occupation:     £50,000

 

b)         Unable to discharge duties of a police officer:-

 

            A member with up to 13 years service                                         £15,000

            A member with between 13 and 20 years service                          £10,000

            A member with between 20 and 26 ½ years service                        £5,000

            A member with between 26 ½ years and 30 years service               £2,000

            A member with between 30 + years service                                   £1,000

 

c)         Extended to include critical illness conditions (detailed below)

WEEKLY BENEFITS SCHEME    

 

Providing weekly payments for a member whose pay entitlement is reduced due to sickness absence from work.

 

            The first 26 weeks of half pay:                £150 per week

            The next 52 weeks of no pay:                 £300 per week

           

 

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE SCHEME  

 

Providing annual travel cover for the member, the member's spouse or partner and children up to 21. (This policy has been recently renewed subject to minor changes to the policy document which are enclosed and should be retained with the policy document already issued)

 

All Members have been issued with a policy document and henceforth, additional copies will be available for a nominal fee of £1.00 which will be paid into the Benevolent and Welfare Fund.    

 

 

 

 

 

 

LEGAL EXPENSES INSURANCE SCHEME           

 

Providing:        Civil Pursuit:                  Motor Personal Injury, Motor Uninsured Loss, Death & Personal Injury,

Civil Defence:                Third Party Injury or Damage, Data Protection and Race & Sex Discrimination and Health & Safety Legislation.

HEALTH CASH BACK SCHEME  

 

Providing cash back benefits for dental, optical, hospital etc. treatment for Member, optional spouse and children (free). Amounts vary dependent on level of cover adopted.
